Our Process
Initial Visit and Estimate
With every project, we start with an on-site visit to measure your space, inspect for cracks, and test for moisture in the concrete. We’ll also walk through your vision, answer questions, and show you samples of our flake and quartz finishes. After the walkthrough, you’ll receive a detailed, no obligation bid. If you’re ready to move forward, we’ll finalize the contract and schedule your installation.
Surface Preparation
When it’s time to begin, we start by thoroughly preparing the concrete. Using diamond grinding tools, we grind both the edges and the entire surface to ensure proper adhesion. Any cracks identified during the inspection are opened up, cleaned, and filled with a high-strength repair compound. Once the surface is fully prepped, cleaned, and vacuumed, we apply the base coat to begin building your new floor.
Installation
Our installation process varies depending on the flooring system you choose: flake, quartz, or metallic.
Flake and quartz systems involve broadcasting decorative materials into the base coat, then returning to scrape, clean, and apply a durable top coat. Quartz systems typically include a second broadcast layer for added strength and texture.
Metallic systems are more design focused, using pigments and self-leveling epoxy to create custom, marbled effects. Once the design is set, a clear top coat is applied for protection and shine.
